Rowland Physio

Hi, I’m Ellie Rowland – a Chartered Physiotherapist practising in  Redhill, Reigate and surrounding area, with a particular specialism in:

   •    Neurological Rehabilitation
   •    Geriatric Physiotherapy

I have always been an active person – a love for team sports such as Hockey, Netball, combined with a lifelong passion for Horse-riding have kept me fit and strong. That was until my final few weeks of University, when a severe horse-riding accident resulted in two fractured and compressed vertebrae, bulging discs, and a long rehabilitation road ahead of me.

The rehabilitation treatment I received over 12 weeks following that fall, inspired me to dedicate the rest of my life to providing that same high-quality individualised care to others. Three short years after that accident, armed with several placements and a variety of experience in the NHS, I graduated from the University of Brighton, Physiotherapy BSc, with 1st Class Hons.

Following graduation, I’ve completed my core NHS rotations in Respiratory, Neurology, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. More recently I have specialised in Neurological rehabilitation working in specialist rehabilitation centres for both adults, paediatric and young people, more recently working as a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist leading the Neurology Outliner Service at St Helier Hospital.

I pride myself in my person centred approach to rehabilitation, my ultimate aim is to enable my clients to lead a fun and fulfilled life. Whether you need rehabilitation following joint replacement surgery or following a prolonged hospital stay leading to deconditioning or rehabilitation after a neurological event or spinal cord injury I am here to help you and your family work towards your goals.
